Diplomacy
The following requirements for establishing and maintaining diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Elnäthar were formally approved on November, 16, 2025 by the Government of Elnäthar.
Article 1. General Requirements.
To establish or maintain diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Elnäthar, any micronation must meet the following conditions:
Minimum age
The micronation must have been officially founded at least six (6) months prior to submitting a formal request for diplomatic relations. In exceptional and duly justified cases, the Government of Elnäthar may consider exemptions.
Political stability
No drastic or sudden change of government shall have occurred within the last six (6) months.
Prohibition of hate-based policies
No diplomatic relations shall be established with micronations that promote, allow, or tolerate hate speech, discriminatory policies, or any form of extremism. No exceptions shall be granted under any circumstances.
Absence of conflicts
Diplomatic relations shall not be established with any micronation that has participated in, instigated, or promoted micronational wars or conflicts.
Informational transparency
The micronation must maintain an official website or encyclopedic page providing basic, verifiable information about its structure, government, and objectives.
Defined physical territory
Only micronations with an existing or administratively recognized physical territory shall be considered. Exclusively geofictional micronations are excluded. In exceptional cases, and at the discretion of the Government of Elnäthar, limited exceptions may be considered.
Functional and stable government
The government must demonstrate continuity, stability, and functionality, without frequent or theatrical changes aimed solely at attracting attention.
Military neutrality
No form of military or defense alliance shall be accepted under any circumstances. The Kingdom of Elnäthar is, and shall remain, a fully neutral nation.
Article 2. Compliance and Termination.
Failure to comply with any of the above requirements shall result in the automatic termination of diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Elnäthar.
Article 3. Existing Diplomatic Relations.
Micronations that established diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Elnäthar prior to the approval date of these requirements are not required to comply strictly with all current provisions. In such cases, only the requirements in force at the time the diplomatic agreement was signed shall apply.

The Kingdom of Elnäthar has begun the gradual reopening of its diplomatic relations system.
During this period, a comprehensive review of existing frameworks and procedures is being conducted. Diplomatic requests may be subject to additional evaluation and processing time.
